She graduated from Evangelical Christian School in 1993 and attended Samford University in Birmingham and the University of Memphis. Miss Simonton leaves her parents, Burt and Vickie Brasfield Simonton; a sister, Dana Elizabeth Simonton of Memphis; and her grandparents, Harry and Eva Brasfield and Jim and Lois Simonton. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Bellevue Baptist Organ Fund or American Cancer Society.
