My gfather was Frederick George Brassfield born West Sussex, England. I am trying to trace decendants of his cousins? Henry Cecil & Charles Brassfield belived to have emigrated to USA 1920 or there abouts, both born London, England. Hello Michael my name is Ann Yardley nee` Brassfield I,ve been trying to trace my gfathers cousin Henry, he emigrated to your part of the world early 1900s possibly with his brother Charles, would like to add any decendants they might have to my family tree can you help?. Have been researching the English Brassfields have got back to 1728 so far maybe it might be of interest to someone out there. regards Ann Yardley

Hi Mike many thanks for your prompt reply to my email, the news of Henry's marriage gives me another line of research if I can trace his wife's family I might find a new lead.
Henry C. Brassfield snr. was a Butler by profession he married Helana, surname as yet unknown born in the Netherlands in 1850.
They had three children Charles b unknown, Henry C.jnr b1880, both in Walworth London & Charlotte H M b1882 in Marylebone London. Henry probably returned to England at the outbreak of WW1 in 1914 which would explain his return to the USA in 1920, although my late Aunt seemed unaware of any marriage. Will keep you updated on any new info.
I am copying info to Carol we have been working together on this for some years she is a great help to me and will be putting it on her website
