Graveside services for Mr. R. G. Brasfield, Jr., 79, will be held at 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at Friendship Cemetery in Friendship, TN with Reverend Jimmy Horton officiating. Burial will follow with Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Brasfield died Saturday, November 5, 2005 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

He was born in Crockett County, TN son of the late Raymond Gale and Georgia Latham Brasfield, Sr. Mr. Brasfield was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during WWII with the 20th Infantry. He was a retired Plant Asigner with BellSouth Telephone Company with 34 years service and was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Glenda McKnight Brasfield of Jackson; three daughters, Lolita Cruce of Clinton, KY, Janell Boirle of Chico, CA and Wanda "Janie" Rainey and husband Macky of Jackson, TN; three sons, David Brasfield and wife Dana of Henderson, TN, Randy Brasfield and wife Jan of Spring Hill, TN and Raymond Brasfield, III and wife Barbara of Jackson, TN; sixteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
