Notes: Helen Lee Rippy, 92, of Richmond, MO, died Friday, March 26, 2004, at St. Joseph Health Center in Kansas City, MO. Mrs. Rippy was born October 25, 1911 in Richmond, MO to Clint and Lucy (Steva) Swofford. She married Robert W. Rippy of Richmond on December 24, 1930; he preceded her in death on August 25, 1995. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Robert E. and Kay Rippy of Kansas City, MO; one brother and sister-in-law, Clinton A. and Lee Swofford of Richmond; one granddaughter and her husband, Robynn and Sean Haydock; and two greatgrandchildren, Mason and Landry Haydock. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Jewell Swofford, Don Swofford, Chet Swofford and Allen Swofford who died in infancy; and two sisters, Marjorie Hennig and Vera Perks. Mrs. Rippy lived in Richmond most of her life. She was a member of the Morton Community Methodist Church. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 30, at 1 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO. There will be no visitation. Burial will be at Richmond Memory Gardens, Richmond, MO. Helen married RIPPY, Robert W on 24 Dec 1930 in Richmond, Ray, Missouri, USA.
