Graveside services for Mr. Michael 'Brass' Brassfield, 45, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2004 in Independence Cemetery in Henderson County. Burial will follow with Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Brasfield died Monday, May 17, 2004 at Milan General Hospital. He was born in Madison County, son of the late Norman T. and Estelle Peterson Brasfield and was educated in the county schools. Mr. Brasfield was a Christian and a driver for Southern Refrigerated Transport. He had driven over one million miles accident free. Survivors include wife, Mrs. Gail Brasfield of Medina; children, John, Matthew, Cassandra and Aimee; four cousins, Dorothy Williams, Roy Peterson, Debbie Phillips and Gary Peterson. Pallbearers will be Elwood Sellers, Bob McDowell, Randy Hammonds, John Brasfield, David Hardin, Jimmy 'Buckwheat' Oller, Scott Crow and Conley Welch. Visitation will be held Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. My parents adopted my brother when he was four. I don't know his birth name but I've added him under his legal name and birth information. I was actually looking to see if I could find any information about his whereabouts now. His name is Michael Lee Brasfield, born March 26, 1959, in Shelby County, Tennessee (I think).
