In memoriam of Betty Lou Brasfield, 04/25/1928 - 08/04/2011

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty L. Brasfield, age 83, of Manchester will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 8, 2011 at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Dr. Brenton Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday evening, August 7, 2011, at the funeral home. Mrs. Brasfield passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday at Harton Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Brasfield was born in Fulton County, KY, the daughter of the late Clem and Virginia Davis Atwill. She was a long time and faithful member of First Baptist Church in Manchester. She was retired from PCA in Manchester, where she worked at the factory store for many years. She had also been employed at Mae's Fabric Store and Redd's Department Store. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to her family. She enjoyed cooking, reading, quilting, cross stitching and sewing until her health prevented her from doing these things that she dearly loved.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brasfield was preceded in death by brothers, Robert Clem "Son" Atwill, Harvey Atwill; one sister, Hilda Killebrew McGee; sister-in-law, Wilma Brasfield Shaw.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Robert Lee "Bob" Brasfield of Manchester, two daughters, Virginia Brasfield and Gina (Billy) Thomas, both of Manchester; two sons, Duane (Leslie) Brasfield of Manchester and Jimmy (Olivia) Brasfield of Murfreesboro; 7 grandchildren, Rod Brasfield, Teresa Brasfield, Sandy Brasfield, Hope (Ryan) Barker, John Hardy Brasfield, Marlisa Brasfield, Samantha (Jeffery) Territo; 5 great grandchildren, Alexandria Brasfield, Donovan Griffin, Mya Territo, Brionna Territo, and John William "Liam" Barker, who is due in December; two sisters, Jane (Tommie) Jones and Sara Ann (Jimmy) Counts; one brother, Bill (Bennette) Atwill; one sister-in-law, Nancy Atwill, two brothers-in-law, Jimmy Shaw and Johnny (Faye) Brasfield; numerous nieces , nephews and a host of loving church family and friends.
The family requests memorial donations in Mrs. Brasfield's memory to First Baptist Church Building For Tomorrow Fund, 1006 Hillsboro Blvd., Manchester, TN 37355.
