Here's the 1850 census information for Leontine Brasfield-Penny:
US Census, 1850 - All Townships, Kemper Co., MS, HH952, Roll 374, Book 1, Pg. 203b, Image #130. "Mrs. Penny" (age 33, female, born in NC) is found on this census. She is shown only as "Mrs. Penny" with no given name listed. Also found in the household are the following children: John Penny (age 12, male, born in AL), Francis (age 10, born in AL) and Martha (age 8, born in AL). [Note: Alexander Penny is not shown with the family on this census. It is possible that he died between the 1840 census and the 1850 census. Living next door in HH941 is the family of John B. Brasfield, the brother of Leontine Brasfield-Penny, and his family.] [Note: Ron Hesdorff, grt-grt-grt-grandson of Leontine Penny, found this missing piece to our census puzzle on October 8, 2003.]
