Obituary for Lena Mae Hobbs
Lena Mae Hobbs, Age 89, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2011. She was born on May 27, 1922 to Daniel and LaVina McFarland, in Roswell, NM. Lena worked for LANL for many years and retired. She was a life member of Eastern Star. She is preceded in death by her husband, William H. Hobbs; parents and siblings; Elma Baker, William, Jake and David McFarland. Lena is survived by her daughter; Irene Gentry and companion Robert Torrez; grandchildren, Bill Gentry, Janet Brazfield and her husband Richard; great-grandchildren;Virginia Seabrook, Michelle and Ryan Brazfield, Shayla Gentry and great-great grandchildren, Lana Gentry, Hannah Brazfield, Lanie and McKenzie Seabrook; sister, Mozelle Edgar and numerous nieces, nephews and companion Chuck Milkes. The family would like to extend a special thank you to both Silver Wings and Vista Care for the support and care of our especially loved family member. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 10:00 am,at Daniels Family Funeral Services Carlisle Chapel. Officiating will be Jimmy Hood. There will be a reception following the service at Daniels Family Funeral Service Carlisle Reception Room and the graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm in the Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 Guadalupe, Santa Fe, NM. Pallbearers will be Danny McFarland, Johnny Baker, Bill Gentry, Richard Brazfield, Ryan Brazfield and Boyce McFarland. Honorary pallbearers are Robert Torrez, Rick Garner and Chuck Milkes.
