    BRASFIELD GARRETT

    ALPINE – Funeral service will be held for Brasfield (Preacher) Garrett, 54, on Monday, Jan. 16, at 2 p.m. at Kingston Missionary Baptist Church in Alpine, Alabama, with the Rev. Keith Bernard Lawson officiating.

    Interment will be in the church cemetery. Brasfield departed this life on Jan. 12, 2006, at his residence. He worked with Talladega Box Factory in Talladega, Alabama, for many years and played baseball with the Alpine Baseball team.

    He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Bobbie Faye Funderburg of Talladega, Ala.; two brothers, Junior Lewis Garrett of Talladega, Ala.; Ernest Garrett of Alpine, Ala.: eight sisters, Minnie Duncan (Joe) of Alpine, Ala.; Margaret Duncan, Geralene Garrett of Alpine, Ala.; Geneva Maples (Eddie Roy) of Talladega, Ala.; Robelia Swain of Buffalo, New York; Lillie Sparks (Will) of Childersburg; Annie Hambrick (Oscar), Henrietta Chatman (David) of Atlanta, Georgia.

    The body may be viewed one hour before the service at the church.

    Sims Funeral Service is in charge of funeral arrangements.
