    Phillip Ray Brassfield, Sr., of Muskogee passed away Thursday, May 3, 2007 surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 18, 1934 in Muskogee to Charles & Canzadie (Jones) Brassfield.
    Phillip worked as boilermaker, pipe fitter and plumber. He was a member of the Local Unions 351 and 592, retiring in October of 1999. He was also a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, a board member of the Rural Water District #5, the Building and Construction Trade Council, the OK Farm Bureau, Realtors and Auctioneer Association.
    Mr. Brassfield was survived by his two children, Phillip R. “Chipper” Brassfield & his wife, Stormie and Jami Kay Morris & her husband, Richard; one step-daughter, Vicky Barnett & her husband Dave, grandchildren: Dusty Ray Brassfield & his wife, Nikki; Sunnie Sioux Brassfield & her husband, Larry; and Chelsea KayLynn Morris; step grandchildren: Richie Morris and his wife Amber; Chad Morris and his wife Mandy; Bret & Wane Miller and Melissa Robinson; great grandchildren: Baileigh Nichole Brassfield, Waylon Ross Brassfield, Harlie Rayne Chesser and Alexus Sioux Chesser; step great grandchildren: Dakota and Jordan Robinson; Logan Miller; Austin, Sarah, Nicki, Casey and Misty Miller; Morgan Mabry and Karson Morris. He is also survived by his sisters; Mary White and Evelyn Staples and two brothers, Floyd Andrew Brassfield and Kenneth Wayne Brassfield, special friends; Margie Burris, and George and Charlotte Dunn, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loved ones. He is preceded in death by his parents, and nine brothers and sisters, Willie Ancil Brassfield, Vernon Edward Brassfield, Charles Levi Brassfield, Robert Lee Brassfield, Samuel Fred Brassfield, Rebecca Marie White, Henry Roscoe Brassfield, and Everett Eugene Brassfield.
    Friend and family will gather to celebrate the life of Phillip Brassfield at 2:00 p.m. , Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Keefeton, OK with Reverend Cordell Coppin officiating. Interment will follow in Brassfield Cemetery with John Synar, Tim Synar, Roger Synar, Kenny Synar, George Dunn and Billy Taylor serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Jake Brill, Tommy Little, Darrel Gilbert, Charlie Campbell, Ray Lark, Earl Garrison and Less Ellison.
    The family has entrusted Bradley Family Funeral Service of Muskogee with the arrangements.
