Betty - It is good to hear from you again. I do not show any Gilbert or Jeremiah Smith in my data. I have a Mary Brassfield born about 1835 in Missouri. She is part of an "orphan group" that is sort of hanging out there. I show her parents as John & Elizabeth Brassfield with Mary, Abner, Nancy, and John as their children. No other information. I found them in the 1850 Federal Census of North Fork Township, Izard County, Arkansas. The census shows John & Elizabeth as being born in Tennessee, and the 4 children as being born in Missouri.
