    How can I get a copy of the BRASFIELD-BRASSFIELD GENEALOGIES? My husband's family is descended from Estella (Jones) Brasfield's second marriage (after W.H.'s death) to George Wesley Byers. It was really exciting to finally find some info to fill in some of the "empty branches"! I bet the book would fill in a lot more! I have a copy of Mary Jane (Morgan) Jones' diary on her wagon train trip to Grandpa Jones' farm in the Sacramento Valley in 1861. I also have a copy of Harrison Fait's book. I'll be glad to share any info I may have that you don't! Thanks. Kathy

    My name is Wesley Len Byers, Son of Marion Bell Byers and grandson of the late George Wesley Byers. George was born in 1897 died in 1975 at the age of 78 years old. From what I can remember he moved from Arkansas in the 30's to Oklahoma City, where he lived until his death. His wife's name was May Pearl Byers. Sorry, I don't know her maiden name. If any of this information is contained in your records I would love to hear from you.

    Leonard BRASFIELD, Jr. I was born in Prince William Co., Va., a few miles northwest of what is since known as the Bull Run Battle ground, on the first day of June, 1800. I was left an orphan boy in 1816, and traveled to Kentucky with an orphan brother in 1818. I removed from Woodford Co., Ky., to Clay Co., Mo., in the fall of 1830. I have paid tax and worked roads forty years in Clay Co. I don't owe at this time any man a dollar. I formerly voted the Whig ticket, but I am now disfranchised.
