    Logan County, Nebraska queries: http://www.rootsweb.com/~nelogan/queries.html

I have not run into this event at all. I would recommend contacting the Nebraska State Historical Society in Lincoln, NE. They have copies of all available newspapers. Since you know the dates of the events, they should be able to find something in the newspapers for you. They should try the Stapleton Enterprise (in Logan County), the Tryon Graphic ( in McPherson County) and the North Platte Telegraph Paper (in Lincoln County). I would think that all of them would have something in them about the events. That way if they don't have a copy of one paper, they may have a copy of another paper. Sometimes when it gets to the older papers there may be some issues missing, where they couldn't find something to copy.
You can try them at 402-471-4746 or you can try contacting Andrea Faling (Bunny) at bun@nebraskahistory.org
There is a charge but it has been a while since I have talked to them. Last time I talked to them it was $5 for Nebraska residents or members of the society or $10 for non Nebraska residents, plus charges for copies. But they will tell you what the charge is.
Hope this helps you find the information you search.
Oh, just thought of something else. They also have the old penitentiary records so you can request that they copy those records for you too, since you know who killed him and the dates he served.
    Good luck.

Seeking information on George Hollingsworth, living in Montgomery County, Ohio, 1820. May have had children: Mary,Eli, Zimri, Hannah, Levi, and Sally. May have been part of Cane Creek SC MM as youth. It looks like you are dealing with the family of David Hollingsworth 1791-1855. He married twice 1) Hannah Jones, with children Grace, Eliza, Mary, Hannah, Elwood, and Levi. He married 2) Elizabeth Crossley and had one daughter Sarah who married ? Wherry. It would not surprise me if this family were Quaker, and it would be worth your while to look in the Quaker minutes to see if you can make a connection to your Millers. - Doug Hollingsworth - mouse5tung@aol.com

I have a record of a Levi Hollingsworth 1829-1900 who married Nancy M. Ramsey and lived in Harrison County, later in Adams County Iowa. He was a Civil War veteran, and you may want to check his file. Levi and Nancy had 4 or 5 children:
    Lydia J 1852 married Gilkison
Samuel A. 1857 married Emma (had at least 6 children)
    Lavica 1859
    James W. 1861 married Minnie
Sarah B 1883 (this entry looks wrong)
Levi was the son of David of Levi of Thomas
of Thomas of Thomas of Valentine
    Hope this helps.
