Jeff Jerry Brasfield, age 66, of Mangum, passed away late Wednesday evening, July 27, 2011, at Quartz Mountain Medical Center, in Mangum.
Mr. Brasfield was born on June 11, 1945, in Mathis, Texas to Louis and Effie (Green) Brasfield. After attending school in Sinton, Texas, Jeff married Carolyn Taylor and moved to Altus in 1962. He later moved to Victoria, Texas and Wichita Falls, Texas before moving to Mangum in May of 2011 to be near his brother. Jeff enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and bar-b-quing.
Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by two daughters, Patricia Brasfield of Portland, Texas and Cynthia Bess and husband Charleston of Sinton, Texas; five grandchildren, Kevin Brasfield, Michael Brasfield, Reginald Brasfield, Brandon Bess and Morris Bess; one brother, Louis Brasfield of Mangum along with many other relatives and friends.
Cremation services were entrusted to Greer Funeral Home of Mangum. The family will conduct a private service at a later date.
