Known as the "Father of Army Aviation Medicine," he was instrumental in developing a system of rapid evacuation of wounded soldiers off the battlefields of Korea and Vietnam by use of helicopters. Thousands of soldiers' lives were saved as a result of rapid transport to medical care. This concept now extends to use in the civilian community. I am trying to do a Family Tree on my Husband's Family--THE BRASFIELDS. I have very little information to go on. My Father in Law's name was Herbert G. Brasfield believed to be born in Kentucky. There may be family in Tennessee. He moved to Clearwater, Florida. Went to Clearwater High School. His parents owned a motel in Clearwater called The Regal. Had a brother named James. His mother's name was Helen. He moved to Miami, Florida and was a musician on Miami Beach.He was married once and had three kids. Second time--5 kids. My husband is the oldest of the five kids--11/25/45. My father in law passed away in 1972 due to prostrate cancer.If you know anything about the name BRASFIELD please let me know.Thank you Betty
