AMORY - Sibyl Waycaster Williams, 89, died Sunday, June 29, 2008, at the Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center in Amory after an extended illness. She was born on July 1, 1918, in Monroe County to Cleve and Alma Goodson Waycaster. She attended Greenwood Springs Schools. She was a lifelong resident of Monroe County with the exception of living in Abilene, Texas, for a short period of time. She was employed by Glenn Manufacturing and she was a retired ward clerk with Gilmore Memorial Hospital. She was a resident of the Oak Tree Plantation and she was a member of the Amory Church of Christ. She enjoyed needlework and sewing.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Phillip Hathcock officiating. Burial will be in the Lann Cemetery.
Survivors include two sisters, Iris Nell "Boots" Weaver of Amory and Doris Brasfield of Aberdeen; one brother, Hank Waycaster (Betty) of Pontotoc; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Leroy, Clinton and Harold Waycaster; one sister, Annie Easter.
Pallbearers will be men of the Amory Church of Christ.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
