- Mr. Ray King, age 60, of 524 College Ave., Panama City, Fla., died Monday, March 15, 1999 at a local hospital. He had been a resident of the area for 48 years coming here from Bellewood, Ala., and was Baptist by faith. Mr. King served his country in the U. S. Air Force and was self-employed in the acoustical tile installation business. He is survived by his wife; Mrs. Carolyn King of Panama City, Fla.; daugthers: Mrs. Terrisa King-Schieffler and her husband Fred Nicholas Schieffler of New Orleans, La.; Mrs. Beverley Howard-Tucker and her husband Benjamin of Coventry, England, and Mrs. Beverly King Helmer and her husband Eric Anthony of New Orleans, La.; a son Mitchell Ray King of panama City, Fla.; mother: Mrs. Lena Culver of Panama City, Fla.,; sisters: Mrs. Linda Hudson of Orlando, Fla., and Mrs. Mary Hitt and her husband Ronald of Panama City, Fla.; a brother: Mr. Donnie Culver of Panama City, Fla.; step-children: Ellen Shannon, Joyce Kirvin, Randy Golden, Rusty Golden, Roger Golden, Robin Golden, Susan Golden,, and Marti Golden; 10 grandchildren; 18 step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and two very close friends: Mrs. Delorse Lynch (first wife) and Mrs. Helen W. King (second wife).
Mr. King was preceded in death by: his father: Mr. George Washington King and a daugther Mrs. Debbie King Gisclair.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, March 19, 199 at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Capel with Rev. Larry Wade and Mr. Ken Hitt officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Mr. Ronald Hitt, Mr. Frank Dentamaro, Mr. Fred Schieffler, Mr. Eric Helmer, Mr. Wallace Nelson, and Mr. Glen watson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today March 18, 1999 from 6 until 9 p.m.
