Three brothers came to America: George, Joseph, and John in the late 1600's and early 1700's. It is believed that this George had two sons who were the progenitors of the North Carolina-Alabama-Mississippi groups Charles & Susanna Brasfield christened their daughter Anne at Amesbury, Wiltshire, England on October 14, 1736. Susanna Brasfield married Thomas Woodford on July 5, 1758 at Saint Thomas, Salisbury, Wiltshire, England. George Brassfield (he had been married previously) married Sara Cope on October 11, 1858 at Hamsey, Sussex, England.
