- Marceline Crystella Lott, 67, of Perkins died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001, at Stiliwater Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Graveside services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the Perkins Cemetery. The service will be officiated by the Reverend Susan Ross. Interment is directed by Strode Funeral Home. She was born in Harlingen, Texas on Oct. 15, 1933. "Marcy" was the daughter of H.C. "Chris" and Rosella Carey. She attended McAllen High School in McAllen, Texas and Pan American College in Edinburg, Texas. She married Bill Loft of Hargill, Texas on April 2, 1955 in a ceremony held in Mission, Texas. In 1973, they moved from the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas to Perkins, where Bill served as Chief of Police for the City of Perkins for 22 years. She was a mother of three, grandmother of six, wife, homemaker, and a friend to all she met. She was active in the PTA and involved in her children's school events as well as serving as a Den Mother for her two son's Cub Scout Packs. She also served as Vice- President of her Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in McAllen, Texas prior to moving to Oklahoma.
She is predeceased by her parents, who resided in their later years in Perkins. She is survived by her husband Bill Lott of the home; two sons, David C. Lott, of Medicine Park and Danny Lott and wife, Karen of Stillwater; and one daughter, Debbie Shimanek, of Perkins. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Chelsea Lott , Austin Lott, Bo Thompson and Tyler Thompson of Stillwater; and Cameron Shimanek and Jordan Shimanek, of Perkins.
