- Pearl Winter Stockton, 90, died, Jan 1, 2007 at Dugan Memorial Home, in West Point. Mrs. Stockton was born September 14, 1916, in Vardaman, MS to the late Martha Ella Burt Winter and Patrick Monroe Winter and She was a Seamstress for Knickbocker & Big Yank MFG. Mrs. Stockton was a Baptist. Mrs. Stockton married Thomas Trenton Stockton, Sr.; he predeceased her on March 25, 1991. Her son Rex Stockton also predeceased her on Feb. 19, 1999.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007 at 2pm from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. James Towery officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Garden Cemetery in West Point, MS. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include daughter, Sandra Wittmann of Baton Rouge, LA; sons, Trenton Stockton (Frances) and Lewis Stockton (Wanda) both of West Point, Bobby Stockton (Judy) of Brandon, MS; seven grandchildren, Tommy Stockton (Connie), Nicole Stockton McBrayer (Keith) Lewis Stockton, Jr. (Cara), Wendy Wittman, Carolyn Ann Stockton, Penny Stockton and Nicholas Stockton, two great grandchildren, Laura McBrayer and Will McBrayer and brother, George Theo Winter of West Point.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Stockton, Lewis Stockton, Jr., Keith McBrayer, Dalton Pate, Alan Pate, Patick Winter and Robert Winter.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Edmund A. Miller, Jr., Mrs. Bret Miller, Dr. John Cox, Staff of Dugan Memorial Home, Mrs. Ella Pearl Pate, Mrs. Pauline Millsaps, and Mrs. Margie Hardin.
Memorials may be made to Palmer Home for Children P. O. Box 746, Columbus, MS 39701 Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Today, Jan. 3, 2007 at Calvert Funeral Home.
