- RAPID CITY Evelyn F. Brassfield, 83, of Rapid City, died Wed., March 23, 2005, at a local nursing home.
Evelyn was born July 6, 1921, at Platte, South Dakota, to Guy and Tilda (Qualm) Fuller. She graduated from Rapid City High School and married Ralph Brassfield on Dec. 12, 1946, in Rapid City. They farmed and ranched in the Lakeside area north of Owanka until moving to Rapid City in 1955, where she was a nurses aide at Bennett-Clarkson for 15 years.
She was a member of First Christian Church and enjoyed her family, friends and home.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Brassfield of Rapid City; her daughter, Sheila Brassfield of Rapid City; her son, Randy Brassfield and wife Cindy of Lincoln, Ill.; her sister, Darlene Angel of Rapid City; three grandchildren, Sara, Jason and Joel Brassfield, and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, Pamela and sister, Eleanor Angel.
Visitation will be at Kirk Funeral Home in Rapid City on Sunday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and then on Monday at the church for one hour before services.
Services are set for 10:00 a.m. Mon., March 28, 2005, at First Christian Church in Rapid City with the Rev. Dale Bartscher officiating. Interment will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Research Center in Evelyn's memory.
