- Myrtle Marie Tate, 86, of Clarksville died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2000, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, widow of Joe A. Tate, daughter of the late Thomas and Nelly Kimple Ricketts, and was preceded in death by one son, Elick E. Tate; one sister, Nannie Ricketts; and two brothers, Roy Ricketts and Willis Ricketts.
She is survived by five daughters, Betty L. Tate, Goldie M. Stewart, Dolly I. Sinor, and Lorean K. Brasfield, all of Clarksville, and Ruby J. Fowler of Ozark; four sons, Joe Lee Tate Jr. of Clarksville, Loyd A. Tate and Paul E. Tate, both of Ozone, and Guy L. Tate of Lamar; one sister, Flora Pincomb of Vernon, Mich.; 32 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, at the Ozone Full Gospel Church with Rev. Charles R. Boone officiating.
Burial will be in Case Cemetery at Fallsville under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Guy L. Tate Jr., Jimmy Stewart, Earnest Tate, Guy Tate, James Tate, and Jamey Chesser.
Honorary pallbearers will be Harley Sinor, Kevin Chesser, Anthony Chesser, Daniel Boone, Brian Williams, and Shane Palmer.
