- Brassfield, George Thomas, 71, died 20, April 1965. He was a pioneer businessman in Bixby, operating a grocery store in Bixby from 1919 until his retirement in 1963 due to poor health. He served on the Bixby School board of education for 31 years, and was honored upon his retirement several years ago for his many years of service. He was a member of the City Council a number of years ago. A veteran of WW1 and a member of the American Legion, serving as service officer of that organization in Bixby for a number of years. He was a native of White Rock, AR. Survivors' wife, Fay; daughters, Mrs. Guy Johnson, Miss Lila Maurine Brassfield; sons, Stanford & Calvin, and a sister, Miss Elizabeth Brassfield. -- Bixby Bulletin Archives.
Mary Elizabeth Brassfield (b. 18 July 1891) died 22 Jan 1987. She was born in Montague County, Texas died in Bixby OK. As far as I can remember she was unmarried (I am her great-grand-nephew, and only met her once, as far as I can recall)

George Thomas Brassfield (b. 5 Feb 1894) died 20, April 1965. He also had 4 children (not just the 3 listed) Mary Brassfield Johnson, Lila Maurine Brassfield, Stanford Scott Brassfield, and Calvin (dont know middle name) Brassfield.
Couple of updates: In the places section, you mention a Brassfield Middle School in Tulsa OK
Now, this is what I originally thought as well, but there is no such institution! There is, however, a Brassfield Elementary School in Bixby (basically a small suburb of Tulsa OK). The location is pretty close to (as close as I can come online) Lat: 35.9378204 Lon: -95.8777618 (Bixby & Riverside). It is named for George Thomas Brassfield
