- HUBBARD, Ohio - Services will be Monday, Feb. 21, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the McGuffey Road Church of Christ, for Mrs. Helen Brassfield, 67, who departed this life on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, at Forum Health Northside Medical Center.
Mrs. Brassfield was born July 15, 1943, in Youngstown, Ohio (Mahoning County) to the parents of Julius and Annie L. Patterson Graham.
She graduated from Hubbard High School in 1961, and attended Youngstown State University. She worked for Ohio Edison, the Timken Company and 21 WFMJ TV Station.
She loved flowers, shopping for shoes, traveling, gardening and was a quiet and humble person.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory, a daughter, Roxanne Brassfield of Hubbard; one sister, Asari Graham of Hubbard; an aunt, Erma Smith of Detroit; four nephews, William and Kevin Campbell and Walter and Jamie Brassfield; four nieces, Terrace Tuck, Irasha Whitfield, Wanda Burley and Candy (Brassfield) Howard; two great-nephews, James and Kendal Tuck; and a host of family and friends.
Besides her parents, and grandparents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Roland Brassfield, whom she married May 14, 1966, and who passed away in 2002; and a sister, Julianna (Graham) Campbell.
Friends may call Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church, funeral services will follow.
