    WILMA BRASSFIELD was born Dec. 16, 1906 at Dardanelle, AR to Matthew and Lela
    (Patterson) Phillips. She married Raymond Brassfield, and died May 24, 2000 at
    a local nursing home. Graveside services were May 26 at the Hanna Cemetery
    under the direction of Black's Funeral Home of Eufaula.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Phillip Brassfield;
    two grandchildren, Mark and Keith Brassfield; sisters Gertrude Rule and Thelma
    Fish; brothers Eulan Phillips and Sebert Phillips.

    Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Hershell and Helen Brassfield
    of Stidham and Doug and Sue Brassfield of Denison, TX; one brother, Lloyd
    Phillips of Little Rock, AR one sister, Eretta Griffin of San Diego, CA.

However, my information indicates that Phillip Ray Brassfield was the son of Raymond Brassfield and Wilma Ruth Phillips of Oklahoma, not Charlie McLain Brassfield. I have Charlie McLain Brassfield, son of Ansel Devers Brassfield and Mary Ann Lane. I show that Charlie McLain Brassfield and Rosella Canzadie Jones had at least 13 children (including a Charlie McLain Brassfield, Jr.) of which I have 5 known names.
