Hi Michael: I descend from Nancy Allen, daughter of Samuel Allen and Mary McAllister. Nancy married Jeptha Terrell in N.C. and had 4 daughters: Ritty Maria; Louisa; Emily and one other. Both Nancy and Jeptha died before they could make the move with their siblings to Weakley Co. So, John Terrell "adopted" his brother Jeptha's girls and brought them to Weakley County with him. Nancy's Allen relatives also made the move at the same time. In Weakley County Ritty Maria married Col. John Almus Gardner 1828, and her sister Emily married John Gardner's brother. Ritty Maria died in 1848. If you want to add these people to your web site, let me know and I will get exact dates for you. At the moment, my family Tree Maker is being difficult to access. Col.
