Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, October 21, at Mount Moriah Cemetery. Friends may call 10:30-11:30 a.m. Monday, at Mount Moriah and Freeman Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Country Club Christian Church. Mr. Brasfield was born July 29, 1913, in Hillsboro, IL. He was a graduate of UMKC Law School and was an attorney for insurance companies, including Farmers Insurance Group in Kansas City, MO, and Transport Insurance in Dallas, TX. He was Deputy Insurance Commissioner for the State of Missouri, retiring approximately 20 years ago. He was a member of Country Club Christian Church. He is survived by his wife, Mable Brasfield, of the home; two daughters, Patricia Van Artsdalen, Lake Quivira, KS, and Jo Ellen Hernandez, Chicago, IL; ten grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
