MITCHELLVILLE -- John Brasfield, 59, of Mitchellville, died Dec. 16 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center at Pine Bluff.
He was born Jan. 25, 1945, at Dumas, a son of Jerry Brasfield of Dumas and the late Pearlina Brasfield.
Other survivors include his wife, Minnie Brasfield; two sons, Jerry Dixon of Little Rock and Willie Dixon of Austin, Texas; three daughters, Cathy Poole of Little Rock, Dorene Dean of Dumas and Arnette Dean of Pine Bluff; five brothers, Jerry Brasfield of Pine Bluff, Bobby Brasfield of Stuttgart, Curtis Brasfield of Chicago, Billy Brasfield of Denton, Texas, and Dennis Brasfield of Saginaw, Mich.; seven sisters, Suvanna Moore and Linda Moore, both of Kansas City, Kan., Aretha Martin of Forrest City, Patricia Watkins and Clidy Coleman, both of Dumas, Bonda Kay Jones of Stuttgart and Perlie Boyland of Pine Bluff; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at Dumas Community Center with the Rev. Jerry Brasfield Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Miles Leach Cemetery by Serenity Gardens Funeral Services at Dumas.
The body will be at the community center from 10 a.m. until time of service today.
