My husbands 2great grandmother was a Brassfield. I have been told her name was Adeline, she married Andrew Patrick Jones in Williamsburg, Ky. they had six children and migrated to Crawford County, Ar. Until last night the only information I was able to come up with was on a Angeline Brassfield who m. a Andrew Patrick Jones in Whitley, Ky. on 1/24/1867. I see in your data base you have a listing for an Angeline and a listing for Adeline. Do you have any other information on Adeline. I noticed there is a strong indication these two ladies may be one in the same. Angeline married 1867, Adeline married abt 1868. Angeline born abt 1849, Adeline born abt 1848. Adeline was in Arkansas abt 1868. Angeline married a Jones, Adeline married a James. I may be off base but I think Adeline and Angeline are the same person. Brassfield (Reference number 6048), estimated to have been born about 1849
and married Andrew Jones in Whitley County, Kentucky on 1/24/1867.

It is also possible that Angeline Brassfield could have been one and the
same as Adeline M. Brassfield (Reference number 11312), estimated to have
been born about 1848. She was born in Kentucky and was said to have married
a man who was thought to have the last name of "James". She was the
daughter of John Lindsey Brasfield. Without any additional information, I
can not say for sure that it is the same individual.

Michael,
I have some stuff on Angeline Brassfield and Andrew Patrick Jones. Andrew was a colorful character and supposedly moved his family to Arkansas just one step ahead of the law. According to family reports, Angeline was very afraid of trains and almost refused to leave Kentucky.

I have a picture of their tombstone and some of their descendents as well as a run down on their family.
