    I'm one of your distant cousins. I'm a great niece of Edna Estelle Carson Brasfield whom, I'm assuming that you are a descendant. My grandmother, Carrie Narcissus Carson Hart was a sister to Aunt Stelle. As a matter of fact, my mother was named after Aunt Stelle just as Carrie Brasfield was named after my grandmother. I've been in contact with Edgar Brasfield and have sent him my family line. Just moments ago, I posted a ged.com file on rootsweb for the Pagan-Carson line. I started my file at Margaret Pagen/Pagan's family line and descendants down to the present time. I would love to exchange data with you on my line. Since, I don't have my Brasfield descendants and information up to date, I would love to get that information if you don't mind sharing with me. I noticed that you withheld your living information from your file. I privatized my file, but the names are listed of the living, I hope that families do not get offended from posting their names.     Charles W. Brasfeild died Friday, March 18, 2011, at his home. He was 93. Mr. Brasfeild was born in Monroe County and had lived in Vicksburg since 1930. He was a graduate of Oak Ridge High School. He served in World War II and the Korean Conflict, retiring from the Army Reserve in 1968. Mr. Brasfeild retired from Waterways Experiment Station in 1973 with 38 years of service. He was in the Gallery of Distinguished Civilian Employees. His memberships include the American Legion Post 3, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2572, Disabled American Veterans-Vicksburg Chapter No. 22, Elks Lodge BPOE No. 95 and the Warren County Hunting and Fishing Club, of which he had been president. Mr. Brasfeild was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie L. Brasfeild and Estelle Carson Brasfeild; two sisters, Frances Turner and Corrie Findley; and four brothers, Joe A. Brasfeild, Louis C. Brasfeild, John W. Brasfeild and Earl H. Brasfeild. He is survived by his wife, Henrietta Green Brasfeild; two daughters, Elizabeth L. Herbie Morin of Pensacola, Fla, and Margaret Peggy Wright of Vicksburg; a son, Charles W. Brasfeild, Jr. of Vicksburg; a brother, Edgar W. Brasfeild of Brandon; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and other relatives. Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Riles Funeral Home .     Earl Harvey Brasfield Sr. died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, at River Region Medical Center. He was 82.

    A native of Okolona, Miss., Mr. Brasfield had lived in Vicksburg most of his life. He was a veteran of the Navy, Army and Mississippi National Guard, having served in World War II and Korea. He retired as a command sergeant major after 35 years of service.

    Mr. Brasfield was a civil engineer for the Mississippi River Commission with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for 30 years. He was a member of the American Legion, the VFW and Hawkins United Methodist Church.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Leroy and Edna Estelle Carson Brasfield; a daughter, Marian Gail Brasfield; three brothers and two sisters.

    Survivors include his wife, Peggy Findley Brasfield of Vicksburg; two sons, Buster Brasfield of Newport Richey, Fla., and Randy Brasfield of Vicksburg; three daughters, Beverly Roggencamp of Kansas City, Mo., Sharon Francingues of Vicksburg and Linda Randall of Slidell, La.; two brothers, Charles Brasfield of Vicksburg and Edgar Brasfield of Brandon; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

    Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hawkins United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mitchell Hedgepeth officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home.

    Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. Saturday until the service at the church.

    Pallbearers will be Vernon Plett, Newell Murphy Jr., Paul Miller, Clyde Scott, Bob Walters and Bob Townley.

    Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Holman, Oren Bailess, Bob Athow, George Nasif Jr., the Becomers Sunday School Class and 31st Dixie Division.

    Edgar Warren Brasfield, 86, of Brandon, MS., passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 29, 2013, at Trinity Mission. Born in Hollandale, Miss., to Charlie Leroy and Estelle (Carson) Brasfield, he lived most of his life in Vicksburg and Brandon.

    He was proud to be a veteran having served at the end of World War II and in the Korean and Vietnam wars during his 20-year military career. He worked as an air traffic controller in the Army and then moved to a second career with the FAA Flight Service in Birmingham, AL and Jackson, MS.

    Edgar was a Mason in the Masonic Lodge. In his spare time he was an avid Braves fan, enjoyed reading, gardening, woodworking, joke telling and spending time with his family.

    Edgar was a passionate man who enjoyed his family. He was extremely loving and proud of his four children, John Brasfield and his wife, Theresa , of Arley, Ala., David Brasfield and his wife, Kathy, of Clay, Ala., Robert Brasfield and his wife, Jody, of Vicksburg, and Marcia Below of Gulf Shores, Ala. He also is mourned by his loving wife and best friend of 63 years, Jeanette (Baroudy) Brasfield, as well as his six loving grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

    The family will receive friends on Monday July 1, 2013, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Riles Funeral Home, 5000 Indiana Ave, Vicksburg, MS. 39180. The funeral will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, Vicksburg, MS. Memorial donations may be made in Edgar’s name to St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 2709 S. Washington St,, Vicksburg, MS 39180, and Crosses Across America, 3300 Indiana Avenue, Suite C, Vicksburg, MS 39180.
