    Notes:

    Janet Jenks Edson was an elegant woman who will be remembered for her intelligence, beauty and poise. She will be truly missed by her family and friends who loved her pearls of wisdom, fun-loving spirit and impeccable style. After a very meaningful life, Janet passed away on July 30, 2012. She was born in Spokane on January 22, 1926, graduated from Roosevelt High School and attended the University of Washington where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. The most significant event of those college years was meeting her future husband Jim Edson who was the love of her life. After Jannie and Jimmie married, they moved to Chicago where she helped put him through Northwestern University Dental School. After his graduation, they moved back to Seattle where they raised their three daughters. Janet was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a long time member of many community groups and organizations, including Ryther Child Center, Children's Hospital, Seattle Tennis Club and Sunset Club. Jannie had many interests and enjoyed bridge, tennis, boating, travel, reading and spending time with her family and friends at Wapato Point on Lake Chelan. Janet was preceded in death by her husband Jim Edson, to whom she was married for 59 fun-filled years, her parents Cecil and Leona Jenks and her brother David Jenks. She was a wonderful mother to her three daughters Ellie Adolphson (Earl), Mollie Edson, Jane Hongladarom (Jon) and niece Jennifer Bohner (Bob). "Grandy" will be missed by her ten adoring grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A reception, to honor Janet, will be held at the Park Shore Retirement Community, on the 15th floor, on Wednesday, August 22 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. A family memorial service already took place at St. Thomas Church in Ketchum, Idaho.
