| 10052 | Possibly Elizabeth Brasfield, sister of Othnal Minter Brasfield, who married Jane Splawn, sister of Mayberry Splawn, Jr. - but marriage and birth information don't make sense. ******************** Name: Mayberry Splawn Spouse: Frances Brassfield Marriage Date: 20 Dec 1838 Performed By: Christopher Fation Comment: son of Mayberry Marriage Records of Daveiss County, Missouri, 1836-1855 *************************** http://www.hal-pc.org/~splawn/wsplawn/pafn29.htm#1261 A source of info for Mayberry & Frances comes from someone named Norma Cory. Somehow I got in my possession a FGS that was filled out by her. Don't know where it came from. She lists as her sources, 1850 census of Gundy Co Missouri and "Marriage Lic". I believe the reference to marriage lic has to do with a marriage she lists between Mayberry Jr. and Frances Brassfield. Norma has Elizabeth listed as a child of Mayberry and Frances. ****************** William T. McFall Information sent to my by Roy. L. Brasfield. The 1910 Chickasaw County census shows a J. G. Brasfield 72, wife Mary E. 68, son Wm. L. 14, son Jas. C. 12, son-in-law D. W. | 10076 | possibly Mary E. Cockayne Good Morning Michael & Lois, Thank you Michael for the update on the children of Frank Clifford Marquiss family. I respect your request for not listing living children. I have been doing some research on the Cockayne Family, since I have no knowledge of what you both might possess concerning your Cockayne ancestors, I pass this on for what it may be worth to you. Cockayne Family Research Quaker Files Whitewater Monthly Meeting, Wayne County, Indiana. Cockayne, James, Sr. died 9-4-1849 age 78 year. Cockayne, James, Jr. born 6-6-1802, son of James & Elizabeth, died 3-8-1859. Cockayne, Elizabeth, born 2-18-1804, dau., of Joseph & Elizabeth Unthank died 1-23-1872, age 67 year 11 month 9 days. From this research of Quaker families it appears that the family of James Cockayne, Sr., emigrated from Talbott Co., Maryland to Wayne County, Indiana (possibly stops in between) and the Unthank family emigrated from Guilford County, North Carolina (New Market Monthly Meeting) and both families were early members of the Whitewater Monthly Meeting in Wayne County, Indiana.
